EQUIPMENT RESERVATION GUIDELINES
Active community members are welcome to reserve time on select pieces of equipment in advance of your visit.
Equipment may be reserved from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 4 hours. (Due to their popularity our Laser Cutters have a maximum time limit of 2 hours.)
Only 1 reservation per single piece of equipment may be made per day and only 3 reservations may be made on any single piece of equipment per week.
You may NOT reserve and operate 2 pieces of equipment simultaneously, the only exception to this rule are 3D Printer reservations.
You must make a reservation for using a 3D printer. While a print job is running, you may reserve and use another machine in another area of the shop. You must return to the 3D printer when the print is scheduled to finish, or if you are informed by Humanmade staff that there is an issue with job/printer. Members are responsible for failed prints caused by unattended printers, and may be found to be financially responsible for damage to the machine if the damage could have been easily prevented by frequently checking the machine and print status.
You may NOT start your reservation early, though you may move up your reservation start time if the equipment is available.
You may be allowed to continue working after your time has expired if no one has the equipment reserved following you. (DO NOT make assumptions, check with staff for availability of time extension.)
You may NOT work more than 8 total hours per 24-hour period on any piece of equipment and a 1 hour rest break is strongly suggested between all 4 hour reservations.
Start cleaning up 15 minutes prior to the end of your reserved time. You MUST be ready to surrender the workspace and equipment to the next community member at the beginning of their scheduled reservation. (DO NOT make anyone wait for you as their time will not be extended.)
If you are more than 15 minutes late without notice, your reservation is forfeited and made available on a first come first served basis. This missed reservation may count towards your day/week allotment.
Community member reservation privileges may be suspended for excessive last minute cancellations, no shows, late clean-ups or calendar manipulation.
Reservations and cancellations are made by speaking with the front desk Member Services.
